I bent the rules slightly but I think I got the message across.
RECOMMEND HORROR MOVIES
the last airbender
- Roger Ebert (June 18, 1942 – April 4, 2013)
Ever since that night where I sacrificed 4 hours of my life to watch that movie, I’ve wanted to see some kind of reference to how awful it was in LoK. (and no tahno saying “uh-vatar” is not enough) So, I came up with this headcanon that involves Asami (since her voice actress Seychelle Gabriel was in the movie as Yue).
A couple years ago, Asami was going through a phase where she wanted to be an actress, so Hiroshi hooked her up with the Ember Island Players, who cast her in “Boy in the Iceberg” for their 70th anniversary show or whatever. She was only in it once because it was so terrible she didn’t want anything to do with it. And she just kind of tries to forget it ever happened until Korra and Bolin find an old program for it one day and Asami’s just like “NO IT WAS AWFUL”
we may not all like the same shows and movies but as a society can we all agree that the last airbender movie was just wrong on every level imaginable
What am I doing with my life?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

- Dante Basco (Craveonline interview)
He calls Korra the “Ogvatar” (like in the movie). Also, he is white. What other white Water Tribe people do we know of? That’s right, movie!Katara and movie!Sokka.

“IT’S LIKE WATCHING A CAR WRECK IN SLOW MOTION.”
Possibly the best description of The Last Airbender I’ve ever read.
Thank you Sam.
“I think Korra may be an apology for the movie.”
aside from the shitty casting, bad script, and being directed by M. Night a big problem with that movie was the fact that it was shot with traditional 2D cameras and after they were finished filming corporate decided to throw the movie through a piece of software that turns 2D movies into “3D” movies so they could charge $13 a ticket instead of $8. Problem is that when you use that software you supposed to shoot the movie in extra bright conditions because the software works by over-lapping slight skewed versions of the film over each other, thee was twice as much color in the overlaps so the movie gets that much darker. They weren’t planning on using the software so they shot in standard lighting. Back to the skewing of the overlaps: doing that causes a ense of foreground in the center of the film and background at the edges of the film. This caused some of the worst headaches for some people.
TL;DR fuck that movie
